Built for older Bay Area homes
A lot of homes here have decades on them, and their door openings show it. Frames drift out of square, floors slope, and old mortises never quite line up with new hardware. That is exactly the kind of work we are good at. We have re-hung and adjusted every door in homes 75 years and older, chiseling out worn mortises and setting each door so it has an even gap and latches smoothly. Prehung or slab?
There are two ways to install an interior door, and the right one depends on your opening. A prehung door comes in its own frame and is the cleaner fix when the old frame is damaged or out of square. A slab door hangs on your existing frame and hardware, which saves money when the frame is still solid. We will tell you which makes sense for your home. Either way, the work is quick and clean, and we keep the mess out of your living space.
